  • What are my chances?

  • What’s the difference of WWSS and other conventions?
    We are not a convention, but a showcase. Unlike large scale conventions, our showcase does not consists of thousands of contestants when truly only a small percentage are qualified.   • What is WWSS online?
    WWSS online is a marketing tool for aspiring models, actors, singers, dancers or variety acts who are not able to participate in our event, but still want to be discovered.  Registration is simple and for less than 35 cents a day, you will now have the chance to be discovered by 100’s of VIP’s. 
  • Why should I join this website? I'm already on 2 or 3 others.
    Unlike casting websites or social networking sites, where you are constantly submitting yourself for projects, WWSS online gives our VIP industry professionals the chance to directly connect to you.  It's not realistic to get legit work on your own without strong representation and this is your chance to get great exposure!
  • How do I know if a VIP is interested?
    Every time you log in you will be notified on your profile page if you have been viewed. Only VIP’s can view your profile, so if you get a notification it’s a big deal! VIP’s can also send you direct messages to contact you.
  • What happens if VIP’s are interested? 
    You and the VIP will negotiate a contract and have you relocate or start by “Direct Booking” and have you travel only when you have booked a job.
  • What type of VIP’s are there?
    Our VIP’s are the top companies in the industry and you can see our VIP list here ”WWSSVIP’s” All VIP’s must first pass a screening and be approved before they have access to view profiles.
  • Why can’t I look at other member profiles?
    Our site is not a social networking site, but a tool used by agent and managers to scout. Also, due to the fact we have members under the age of 18, it is a safety issue. It is important to us to keep our members protected from any unlawful behavior.

 

Questions about acting and modeling:

  • How do I succeed as an actor?
    The key is training through school, community theatre, acting classes. Perform much as you can, the more you polish your skills the better chance of success!
  • Can I model if I am not tall?
    Yes! Only High fashion models have a height requirement, and even then, exceptions are made. There are models for commercial print, catalog, fitness, lifestyle, product, promotional and other avenues for modeling
  • Why do models have to act?
    Models also need acting skills, because companies that sale beauty products also produce commercials.
  • I heard that if an agency wants you, they are supposed to pay for your marketing materials?
    In very rare cases for exceptional people the company will “advance” you the money to build your materials and you have to pay it back within a given time frame through the work you book or out of pocket.  Only 1 out of 1000’s will get an offer like this. It is always the model or the talents responsibility to provide the proper marketing materials for their agent or manager.  You’re running your own business as a model or talent and will need to invest in your career.

 

Common questions from parents:

  • What about my child’s education?
    We have an agreement with all of the VIP’s that any child offered a contract must maintain a “B” average in school. We also strongly recommend that high graduates further their education. Our goal is to produce not just successful models and talent, but successful individuals.
  • How do I know if my child really has what it takes?
    The key is to focus on their personal development and what they will take away from the experience. You never know what you’re capable of until you try. Many children break out of their shyness and insecurities through the experience of WWSS. Our caring staff will ensure that each and every child is given support and we encourage each child to be confident in who they are and that it’s a big accomplishment just even get this far.
  • Are there guarantees that my child will get a job?
    There are no guarantees in this business and if someone is promising you so, that is a red flag. Even the most talented and beautiful have no guarantees they will be famous or work. Just because you invest in piano lessons for your child, it does not mean they will become a famous concert pianist or because you invest in sports does not guarantee they will become professional athletes.  The same goes for this business. The key thing parents should focus on is their personal development through the process of pursuing this industry.  Many parents credit the experience of this industry for the better development of their children and overall success in their later years.

  • 에이젼시가 계약을 원하면 ,마케팅관 관련 자료를 회사측에서 지불한다고 들었는데요?
    사진, 포트폴리오, 해드샷, 이력서, 비디오, 등모든 마케팅 자료는모델이나 연기자 활동을 위해서 꼭 필요한 투자입니다. 가끔 최상의 모델의 조건을 갖추신 분들에게 자료를 만들수있도록 advance 를 해주는경우도있지만,얻은 수익금에서 재외되거나, 본인의 자비로투자된 비용은 회사로 반드시 지불됩니다.

關於演戲和模特

  • 我要如何成為成功的演員？
    訓練和經驗是要點。儘量參與學校和社區的劇團。你的演技越是精錬，成功的幾率就越高！
  • 如果我身材不高也能作模特嗎？
    是的！只有高時尚模特才有一定的身高標準，而且也不是沒有例外。模特可擔任的工作種類包括平面廣告、服裝目錄、體格、生活、商品目錄、代言、和其它管道。
  • 模特是否需要鍛煉演技？
    當然！譬如你今天為某保養品公司拍平面廣告，而他們喜歡你的外形，希望你可以為他們拍攝電視廣告，你要拒絕嗎？
  • 我聽說如果一個經紀公司鍾意我，它會花費幫我預備推銷工具。
    在非常罕見的情況下，公司願意預支一位極優秀的模特建立推銷工具（臉部特寫、照片選集、等等）的費用。模特必須在預定的時間內由工作或自費將此金額還給公司。得到這種待遇的幾率低於千分之一。模特或藝人有義務提供推銷工具給經紀人或經理。一個藝人必須投資自己的事業。

  • 演藝工作是否會影響學業？
    WWSS和參加展覽大會的所有VIP都達成共識，每一個學童都必須維持高於3.0的成績。我們鼓勵成績好的學生進大學取得學位。我們對每一個孩子都抱著崇高的期望，不只是在演藝事業，而是在各方面。
  • 我的孩子是否具備適當的才藝？
    家長最優先考慮的應該是孩子的發展以及在展覽大會的學習過程。要試過才知道有沒有表演天賦。許多孩子經由WWSS提高社交技能並突破害羞的天性。WWSS的工作人員將細心輔導每一個孩子，教導他們如何對自己有信心。
  • 參加WWSS是否能保證我的孩子一定能找到工作？
    演藝行業對任何人都沒有保證。如果有人保證你的孩子一定能大紅大紫，你就應該提高警覺性。就算是最美和最有才華的藝人都不一定會成功。並不是每一個學琴的音樂家都可以成為馬友友。並不是每一個投球的運動員都可以成為王建民。演藝行業也是一樣。孩子進演藝圈主要是學才藝，以便選擇事業時可以把學會的技巧加以應用。
